Look Impress respects the work of the photographers, designers, brands, and creators whose images help tell fashion’s story. This page explains where our images come from and how rights holders can request credit, changes, or removal.
Where Our Images Come From
- Our own photography. Most product photos are taken by Amelia and our editorial team during hands-on testing. These images belong to Look Impress.
- Brand and retailer images. Some images are supplied by brands, taken from official press materials, or used to identify a product we’re reviewing or discussing.
- Licensed stock photography. We use images from paid stock libraries [e.g., Adobe Stock, Shutterstock] under the terms of each license.
- Free-license and public domain images. Some images come from libraries such as Unsplash, Pexels, or Wikimedia Commons, used according to their license terms.
How We Credit Images
Image credits appear in the caption or a credit line beneath the image. They name the photographer, brand, or source and link to the original where possible. Mistakes can still happen, especially with images that have been widely reshared. If a credit is missing, incorrect, or links to the wrong page, tell us and we’ll correct it.
Found Your Work on Look Impress?
You can ask us to add or correct your credit, change how the image is displayed (for example, the crop, caption, or credit link), or remove the image entirely. You don’t need a lawyer or a formal notice. A clear email is enough to start.
Email contact@lookimpress.com with “Image Rights” in the subject line and include:
- The link to the Look Impress page where your image appears
- A link to the original image, if available
- Proof of ownership, such as a portfolio, licensing page, or brand website
- Your name and the option you prefer: credit, display change, or removal
We reply within two business days. Once ownership is confirmed, removals are usually completed within one business day, and we’ll email you when it’s done.
Filing a Formal DMCA Notice
If you prefer to file a formal notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), send it to our designated agent below. Your notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- The URL of the material on Look Impress you want removed.
- Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Knowingly submitting a false claim may make you liable for damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.
Counter-Notices
If you believe material you provided was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent. It must include your signature, a description of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake, and your name, address, and phone number.
It must also state that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you’re outside the U.S., any district where Look Impress may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. The material may be restored within 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

The articles and original photography on Look Impress are owned by Look Impress. You’re welcome to share a short excerpt with a credit and a link to the original article. Copying full articles or reusing our photos requires written permission, which you can request at contact@lookimpress.com.
